I wanted to just do a quick doodle as an excuse to try out Melody and Liz’s…different colors some more but I ended up doing a bit more.
A drawing done for Channel Frederator’s upcoming book. I did it last week actually before I had even left for vacation and wasn’t going to ever post it online and just let it be in print, but I’m easily excited about things like this and other people in the network are posting their pieces so I thought I’d share mine.
I’ve been trying to develop this robot character since 2003 or so and I’ve never done anything with him because I have yet to be happy with any ideas he’s been a part of. He’s gone through a couple dramatic changes since his inception, but even recently, he changes a little every time I draw him. He doesn’t even have a name! I always loved the concept of humanoid robots but I’ve never designed one I really liked. Regular robots, sure. But something like this always ends up just looking like a dude in a onesie.
Big news! I’m now officially a part of the Channel Frederator Network! I’ve wanted to since the beginning but debated whether or not I should have waited to join since all the content on my channel is old Geoweasel stuff. I considered waiting until I had come out with several new things and had a buffer of even more to put out, but with about 40 videos and several years worth of content, I figured it was time to join (and also I was too excited to wait any longer!). New stuff is right around the corner though! We may see a revival of the Geoweasel series itself, but not without company from other new characters, series, and one-off shorts on the channel. So you may not see me around as much as I am committed to bringing new cartoons of all lengths and styles that I hope you will enjoy!
Melody & Liz color palette and height swaps
geekysideburns posted these interesting swaps to do for characters and I wanted to do a couple. I liked the outfit one but it wouldn’t have really been too interesting with Melody and Liz. I may do it with some other characters later though. But obviously the color and height changes made for something interesting, although Melody looks like she just proportionally shrunk, not actually just got shorter, haha. Maybe I should’ve done the height and weight as one.
All of today’s request doodles in one convenient post
More of the robot girl. No idea what I’m doing with this. I’ve changed the colors like 8 times
Goomba’s Shoe for the Twitter Mario collab! One of the most fun powerups ever, it always saddened me that it was only in one level of one game (not counting the Japanese Mario Advance 4 e-card levels we didn’t get, its Sticker Star appearance, and the ice skate in the new game). I was kind of intimidated when I saw some of the other entries because I draw so simply and everyone else’s drawings were amazing but I figured I should just be myself and not worry about it since it’s such a large project with many different styles.
Decided to redraw one of the Melody and Liz sketches I did the other night because I thought it was cute
