Super Mario World was one of the first video games I ever played (I had played Mario Land and a couple other early Game Boy titles like Tetris and Golf before that) and this brings back memories of me feeling like a fucking genius when I figured out I could avoid these guys this way when you were big. Like seriously, that was my crowning achievement in the game. I miss those days, when everything was new. Now I can run through this game in record time. And even with New Super Mario Bros. 2 looming, I’ll make quick work of that. I kind of wish I could forget my memories of playing games sometimes so that they could all be new and challenging again.
