Excellent playthrough of New Super Mario Bros. 2’s full E3 demo. Props to NintendoWorldReport, which you can always depend on for the best hands-on footage of Nintendo games at trade shows and events, no doubt.
While we’re handing out attaboys, IGN noticed that the Koopalings will return again, making appearances as bosses in this 3DS sequel. Ludwig von Koopa fans, rejoice.

I feel like these days I’m a little overly-critical of games and I let little things bother me instead of just having fun, but there are 2 major things I’m concerned about with this game having seen several gameplay videos: There’s no new music, and the visuals (backgrounds and tilesets) look almost identical to New SMB Wii. With this game coming out in about 2 months, I assume this is very close to the final product. It’s possible the music is just placeholders, but the graphics are probably final. That’s very disappointing. I mean, I don’t expect there to be a lot different with these things, but there should be SOME change to give it a new feel and separate it from the previous installments. I’m still excited for this game and I know I will enjoy it and play the hell out of it, but that’s going to bother me.
