Please stop being offended by every single thing.
Please stop advocating for social groups you do not belong to.
Please stop turning everything you see or read into “mysogyny” or “racism” or “anti-queer” or something else offensive.
Please just learn how to enjoy your life and stop trying to find the bad in everything.
And PLEASE for the love of god stop using the term “cis” as a bad thing. It’s just how some people are.

Oh my god, THANK YOU. This has really been irritating me lately. I haven’t really been able to put it in the right words because, yes, there are some legitimately offensive things out there and I don’t want to diminish that and say “just suck it up” because that’s not what I believe, but holy shit. I see countless posts each day of people getting offended at things that you’d really have to dig and reach for to be offended by. And the way people react is just as hateful as what they’re complaining about, so we’ve got hypocrisy piled on top of it. The negativity is really starting to wear on the rest of us. Like that whole “creamsicle” thing from a couple weeks back (the drawing of a Tumblr girl vs. a Facebook girl). Everybody went ballistic and got all defensive when it was a joke to begin with. More recently, we’ve got this photoset going around with some guy holding a sign saying something about girls not having to wear makeup to look beautiful, followed by a girl holding up a sign saying “don’t tell me what to do.” Which is fine in and of itself. It’s funny, and the original picture is pretty lame. But everyone’s reblogging it and praising it and getting pissy because the original statement was “misogynistic.” Stop stretching shit out of proportion and finding ways in which things could possibly be considered offensive and get off your high horse. Let’s just get back to posting stupid gifs and cats already.
Not that anything I just said is going to change anything, but it’s getting fucking ridiculous. Maybe I just need to get off the internet.
