peroyomas asked: Have you made a videogame / what kind of videogame you would like to do or work on?

I actually have made a few games. Back when Geoweasel was basically just a Mario fan-comic, I made two platforming games. Nario’s Adventure and Nario’s Adventure 2. Both were really just dumbed down versions of actual Mario games. You jumped around, stomped enemies and collected coins and that was really it, for both. Most of the enemies and graphics were from Mario games too. The first one was really buggy, like sometimes, for no reason, you’d fall through the floor. The second one was built from the ground up and was much more polished and I was really into it. I got near the end of making the game, but my computer crashed and I lost the whole thing, so many levels that I thought were really cool (even though there wasn’t much to do in them). All that remains is a demo I put out as a teaser, which was made early on with 4 levels and 4 bosses. It had some bugs that the final didn’t, for instance Nar always faced right when he stopped for some reason and some of the bosses are needlessly hard because you have to jump on them just right or you die. It makes me sad that that never saw the light of day, I only have vague memories of working on it.
Several years later, when Geoweasel broke away from being Mario, I made a couple little games for it. One was called Agility and it was based off a game my friends and I used to play on our graphing calculators that we downloaded. The second one was Bounce, and that was an original one.

I often think about working in games and how cool it would be. Especially platform games, but other kinds too. I don’t really want to be involved with any programming or anything though. I’d want to be part of the design, both designing the visuals (characters, environments, concept art, etc.) and designing levels. I loved being able to make my own levels of a game, that part was the most fun. I just don’t want to have to deal with all the programming, which is why I never really made another platformer. That’s why I’d like to be part of the map design team or something in addition to artwork. I always think while I’m playing games, old and new, “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a level like this?”

Anyway, those 3 games are actually available to download still if you want to try them out. They’re .exe files, so I can’t play them on this computer, but for anyone who has Windows, go nuts:
